(Bangkok Post photo)People going to offer their respects to the His Majesty the late King have been encouraged to bring their own food containers to reduce waste left at Sanam Luang each day. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) announced the initiative after a drastic increase in waste left by crowds visiting Sanam Luang over the past week. The governor hopes the model will help reduce waste and food leftovers. If people separate their own waste, it would help the BMA reduce costs. He also said this was a good opportunity for Thais to learn more about waste separation and reducing waste from leftover food.
